The Spice Route: Cultural Diplomacy

The Negeri Rempah Foundation recognizes the Spice Route's potential to serve as a valuable reference for cultural diplomacy and policy formulation at local, national, and international levels. The rich history of the Spice Route demonstrates that cultural diplomacy has long been practiced across various scales, from individuals and communities to nation-states. Through Spice Route's legacy, we propose incorporating intercultural dialogue as a cornerstone of Indonesian diplomacy. This approach emphasizes interaction, dialogue, and mutual understanding as the foundation for fostering strong and harmonious relationships between nations. The Spice Route serves as a stepping stone towards a future characterized by global brotherhood and peace. Its emphasis on intercultural understanding, respect for cultural diversity, and a commitment to justice, equality, and mutual contribution aligns with the pursuit of a world where human dignity is upheld.
