Spices hold immense economic potential for Indonesia. To harness this potential, we have established the Pasarempah community, a platform that empowers communities to promote products and services inspired by Indonesia's rich spice heritage and the Spice Route narrative. Pasarempah fosters economic opportunities while preserving Indonesia's culinary, jamu (traditional spice and herbs), wellness and wellbeing traditions.

What is Pasarempah?

Pasarempah (literally means spice market/bazaar) is a program initiated by the Negeri Rempah Foundation and the Negeri Rempah Community Network to facilitate communities that have potential resources to be developed for sustainable economic added value. Spices are Indonesia's leading commodity that has great potential to be developed as a resource that supports economic development. For this reason, Pasarempah brings together market players, researchers/academics, government, media, and the public to open up various opportunities for dialogue and synergy between stakeholders. Starting from the opportunity to get support to build a start-up business in the form of technical guidance and training, information on export opportunities, to contact with potential buyers both from within and outside the country.
